Position Objective
Manage the Design and Product Engineering team covering products for the relevant Biotech SUT business lines encouraging an environment and culture of Product Quality. Responsible for a new product portfolio, timelines, material changes, budget and labor, plus associated site functional leadership responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
* Assure consistency and continuous improvement for products and processes; covering sales, New Product Introductions, Material Changes, Post Launch Sustainment, Product Improvements and Mould Tools
* Lead functions within Product Engineering NPI, Sustaining or Product Improvement
* Lead product customization requests and sustaining engineering activities
* Review and approval of non-conformances and user documentation
* Close collaboration with Quality, Product Managers, Sales, Project Managers and Sales Specialists to finalize the best solution for customers needs
* Support and mentor design engineering team in order to assure KPI's of the front-end drawing process are met. Responsible for talent management to ensure the continued development of direct reports
* Execute global SUT business documentation guidelines. Lead site team specializing on SUT product portfolio
* Resource and lead all aspects of key product improvements or moves between sites (Bags, KPCs, Assemblies, Filters etc.)
* Support and collaborate with customers on technical/quality related issues in conjunction with Quality and SLS
* Drive global multi-functional alignment (quality, sourcing, supply chain) within SUT on key business needs
* Ensure harmonization of products manufactured at own site and with other dual source sites
Minimum Qualifications
* Masters degree with 10+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field
* Experience building and developing teams
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry, preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* To work safely and to align with the companys health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
