Manage the activities and directly or indirectly supervise subordinate supervisor and staff and/or manage relationships with external vendors responsible for receiving, recording, and acknowledging gifts given to the organization. Manage the organizations gift processing, to include the receiving, entering, batching, and posting, acknowledgement, and reporting of all forms of gifts or donations, including but not limited to cash, checks, credit cards, securities, in kind and matching gifts. Manages and/or oversees relationships with banks and vendors who handle such activities as cadging/cashiering, lockboxes, mail processing and acknowledgement.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for direct and indirect supervision of staff, for position assignments and development, and for hire and fire recommendations.
* Manage and/or participate in the development of proposals and selection of outside vendors, and manage vendor contractual activities.
* Oversee the management of a fundraising data system, to include managing the quality assurance review of vendor and staff data entry and working with stakeholder departments, including Finance and Internal Audit to ensure processes comply with audit and financial guidelines,
* Develop organizations gift processing policies and procedures, oversee generation and distribution of regular and special reports, lead projects and/or develop and implement metric standard and measurement criteria to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of gift processing
* Typically has unit-specific duties within the scope of the job.
Qualifications:
* Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years required
* Management Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of staff management required
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:
Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
Work Conditions:
Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during period of major disaster.

Fundamental Principles of the Global Red Cross Network
Humanity
The Red Cross, born of a desire to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavors—in its international and national capacity—to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples.
Impartiality
It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It endeavors to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give priority to the most urgent cases of distress.
Neutrality
In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Red Cross may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.
Independence
The Red Cross is independent. The national societies, while auxiliaries in the humanitarian services of their governments and subject to the laws of their respective countries, must always maintain their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with Red Cross principles.
Voluntary Service
The Red Cross is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.
Unity
There can be only one Red Cross society in any one country. It must be open to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory.
