We're looking for a passionate Senior Software Development Engineer (Sr SDE) to guide the development of new features and infrastructure for our unmanned aerial vehicle software (UAV) simulator.

This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch engineers and scientists. Were looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems. You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of professional software development experience
Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, data structures, and complexity analysis
Programming experience with Python or JavaScript
Programming experience with at least one modern object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C
Excellent problem solving ability with strong analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
5-10 years of professional software development experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience using AWS to deploy production web services or distributed workflows
Experience with robotics software simulators and associated fields
Experience in communicating with end users, business teams and management to collect requirements and describe product features and technical designs
