DESCRIPTION
Amazon MSK is a fully managed service for Apache Kafka that makes it easy for customers to build real-time data streaming applications without needing Apache Kafka infrastructure management expertise. That means customers spend less time managing infrastructure and more time building applications.
The Amazon MSK service team is seeking a Principal Streaming Architect to work directly with AWS customers to build awareness and drive adoption of Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK, and Kinesis Data Firehose. In this role youll drive awareness using scalable techniques, youll partner with the Amazon MSK product team to drive the business forward. You'll build awareness by delivering technical presentations at AWS re:Invent, AWS summits, and at 3rd party conferences. You will write or lead the development of technical blogs that showcase Amazon MSK powering end-to-end solutions. Youll gather feedback from customers of all sizes and industries around the world, and will work directly with the Amazon MSK product team to influence the service roadmap based on this feedback.

Responsibilities
Be an AWS spokesperson for Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK, and Kinesis Data Firehose by building and delivering relevant technical content and messaging to customers
Own and deliver on an engagement plan with customers and partners, from conferences to face-to-face meetings
Lead or write blogs enabling customers to quickly learn about solutions in streaming
Collaborate with AWS partners to increase options for data sources and syncs
Guide and motivate the development of white papers and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices
Channel requests for innovation and new customer features, drive and influence the Amazon MSK roadmap with these requests
Lead executive briefings that inspire confidence in our products and solutions and demonstrate how they can accelerate our customers journey
Identify potential partnership opportunities
Act as a conduit between customers, product teams, development teams, solutions architects and professional services
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
10 years of experience working in an solutions architecture or software development role driving successful IT transformations
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, application development platforms and AWS services
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Deep knowledge of data streaming technologies like Apache Kafka and Kinesis Data Firehose, and able to articulate the solutions they enable
Direct, practical experience implementing AWS services to complete solutions used by customers in production
