We are seeking talented Software Development Engineers to join our Alexa Comms Growth team. We build recommendation systems that fuel active users growth for Alexa Comms via feature discovery, engagement and churn reduction. We leverage various machine learning techniques and big data platforms to process high volume data and build low-latency systems to serve personalized recommendations. In this role you will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on design, architecture and implementation large scale systems with cutting edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities include:
Contribute to develop and launch machine learning algorithms
Influence our overall strategy by taking data driven approach and working backward from customers
Create world class software by spearheading best practices
Interact with cross-functional engineering teams across the company
Participate in design reviews
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
1.5+ years of industry experience, building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services
Experience in developing object-oriented software, with deep experience in on or more relevant languages (eg. Java, C++ or C)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with recommendation systems and related machine learning algorithms
Experience with ECS, CDK, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, EMR, Kinesis streams or related technologies.
