Work Hours/Shifts:
Part-Time Days
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Demonstrates professional expertise and competence with endoscopic equipment when assisting the physician
* Accurately prepares and administers medications and IV fluids according to physician orders and hospital policy.
* Reviews chart for signed consent and physician's orders before transporting patient to department
* Observes and assesses patient status before and after each procedure as evidenced by vital signs, heart rate monitor, and/or pulse oximeter documentation
* Recognizes significant changes in patient's condition taking appropriate action
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
* Current GA RN license
* Current BLS/ACLS
* ASN required
* One year Endoscopy experience or prior experience in ICU or procedural areas ( OR, Cath Lab, etc)
* SGNA certification within 3 years of hire date
Job Summary:
The Endoscopy Nurse practices as a professional nurse assuming responsibility and accountability for the care given to patients in the Endo Lab. Assist physician with all procedures in Endoscopy.
