You Will Be Responsible For:
* Develops an integrated unit plan along with the Director of Acute Care that encompasses quality improvement initiatives, multidisciplinary coordination of care and regulatory readiness within the organization care delivery model.
* Effectively collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
* Provides support and structure utilizing performance improvement principles to implement quality initiatives.
* Keeps in step with current technology associated with area of responsibility.
* Displays professionalism in decision making and problem-solving processes through thorough analysis and critical thinking.
* Fosters an environment of staff empowerment delegating tasks that provide staff autonomy in practice environment.
* Ensures a practice environment that promotes dignity and respect for all employees as well as attention to diversity in the workplace.
* Continue personal professional development through professional organizations, attending educational seminars relevant to position, and reading professional journals.
* Develops policies, procedures, personnel and practices which provide a superior level of service and efficiency.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
* Bachelors Degree in Nursing
* Kansas Registered Nurse License
* BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
* Two to five years position-related leadership experience
Job Summary:
Establish, manage and grow patient focused care models in his/her areas of management. Assumes 24-hour operational responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Hospital and their effect on patient care in all designated units. Responsible for the ongoing effective operation of the following departments: L&D, Nursery, NICU, Mother/Baby.
Must have good interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to discuss, promote and explain programs, goals, policies and procedures with patients, employees, administrative staff, and medical staff. Must be of sound character and possess the highest ethical standards.
