You Will Be Responsible For:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Advanced knowledge of ETL specific Concepts, Techniques, Best Practices and design principles
* Experience with best practices for ETL design and development such as data profiling, data cleansing, change data capture, and performance optimization
* Advanced knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts, Techniques and Best Practices
* In depth knowledge of physical database design and development including performance tuning in an Oracle Environment
* Experience using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
* Demonstrated working knowledge of business intelligence technologies
* High level of analytical skills and creativity to translate business requirements and decompose data flows / relationships into detailed design solutions
* Ability to evaluate and implement solutions balancing reuse, extensibility, reliability and performance
* Ability to come to work eager to solve problems and learn new skill sets
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to clearly articulate solution alternatives.
* Familiarity with the systems development life cycle (SDLC) standards

Qualifications
What You Will Need:

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field AND 5 years experience
* OR Masters degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field AND 3 years experience

Job Summary:

The Data Engineer II is an integral member of the team responsible for design, development, maintenance and support of data mart and ETL infrastructures. This position drives the implementation of repeatable standards and processes for ETL development and develops ETL mappings and workflows utilizing SQL Server/SSIS, Alteryx, Informatica, and other up and coming ETL technologies. They are expected to collaborate in good faith with peers, vendors and technical, and operations staff to ensure the successful implementation of ETL solutions for Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence tools. This position is also responsible for providing general ETL direction for Data Warehouse Development Teams as well as support for the Admin and DBA teams that maintain our ETL tool and Database infrastructure. Demonstrates diplomacy and superior communication when engaging with clinical, operational, and finance leaders to understand critical problems. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
