Work Hours/Shift: Monday- Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Executive Chef, perform ordering, receiving, rotating, stocking, dating and quality check of all items received and stored in Food and & Nutritional Service Department (FANS). Also responsible for cleaning storage areas and maintaining all items in the storage areas. If needed, may be required to transport food items and provides catering services to FHMMC, FH Oceanside, Reflections or any other offsite locations as needed.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Chef/Director/Manager perform ordering, receiving, checking for order accuracy and quality of all ordered items (food & nonfood) delivered to the FANS Department.

Performs quality checks per policy of all items received.

Verifying that the invoice matches the product delivered.

With the direction of the Executive Chef, maintains accuracy in USF online ordering guide, gives priority to CMAs.

May be required to transport food items to off site locations and hospitals.

Properly labeling, dating, storing of products received.

Maintains all storeroom and storage areas.

Properly rotates (First In/ First Out), stocking, dates inventory per policy.

Monitors proper temperature of refrigeration and dry storage areas.

Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all storage areas and their contents.

cleans and maintains all storage areas and floors, walls, shelving, etc. of the food storage, dry storage, paper storage, disposable storage, catering and chemical storage areas.

Responsible for safety, inventory, and HACCP.

Keeps cooler floors, storage areas and walk ways clear of clutter and clean of oil and food buildup.

Food is being properly stored to meet HACCP guide line (temperature, rotation, storage).

Packs and delivers stock items, food and supply items to FH Flagler departments as required.

Sets up and serves at catering functions.

Delivers food to physician lounge and other areas, restocks and maintains cleanliness as needed.

May be assigned duties in the following areas: dish

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School graduate or equivalent required.

At least one year food service experience.

Good organizational skills required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Must have basic math skills and ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

Must have computer competency skills for email and online ordering
