Work Hours/Shift: Full Time Day (6am - 6pm; Rotating days )
You Will Be Responsible For:
1. Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key referring physicians through delivery of quality service to physicians referred patients. Uses creative thinking and high quality customer service to accommodate the patient imaging needs of referring physicians. Seeks to increase referred volume through relationship expansion. Works closely with the Campus Imaging Director to resolve physician related problems or issues as needed.
2. Patient Intake Management: Provides leadership over the team responsible for ensuring accurate and complete Scheduling, Verification of Benefits, Pre-authorization, and Pre-Certification of imaging exams. Is trained and capable of handling all team duties where needed. Serves as the supervisor of other intake team members and provides guidance on training and performance issues. Serves as the Knowledge leader for Imaging specific terminology and process.
3. Scheduling as needed: Serves as a back-up to the Intake team as a seasoned scheduler providing scheduling service during peak volume times. Creates patient accounts, schedules appointments and pre-registers patients striving to gather and validate all required information on a single phone call.
4. Accuracy: Reviews in detail and prepares patient visit paperwork in advance on a routine basis to ensure all requirements are completed to ensure a timely and accurate exam is performed. Serves as the owner and leader of the team handling all exceptions uncovered. Takes ownership of solving the exception in advance of the visit to ensure minimal impacts to the schedule.
5. Efficiency: Drives Imaging patients efficiently through the Intake process and strives to fill customer of physician requests with minimal calls. Balances excellent customer service with effective utilization of departmental resources to ensure maximum revenue is attained through accurately delivered and billed imaging services.

Required:
* Outstanding Oral and written communication skills
* Advanced Computer Skills (MS Windows / MS office, etc.)
* Understanding of Health Insurance Authorization processes
* Familiarity with Radiologic procedures, terminology & modality requirements
Preferred:
* College education or coursework in healthcare related field
* Scheduling experience
* Healthcare Financial Services experience
Job Summary:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Serves as the primary owner of physician satisfaction with the service of their patients in the FH system and is the primary contact point for Physician offices for coordination of referred imaging studies. Supervises all tasks and resources of the Intake Team in order to enhance both referring physician and patient satisfaction. Strives to meet the scheduling demands of referring physicians and provides a customer service-based access point to engage the Imaging Services Department. Ensures the timely and proper collection, documentation, usage and data entry of any information required to ensure payment for the procedure from the patient and/or, their insurance carrier. Proactively reviews all scheduled events in advance and serves as the Physician Office contact to resolve outstanding issues related to demographics, prescriptions, finance, patient history, clinical requirements, diagnosis coding, etc.
