WHAT YOU'LL DO
The role of the Talent Acquisition Lead (TAL)/Manager (TAM) is to lead the Philadelphia office recruiting team and to drive the full spectrum of the global recruiting efforts supported out of Philadelphia. You will be responsible for fulfilling the consulting staff people needs of the Philadelphia office, including candidate pipeline development, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates. You will work with the Philadelphia Recruiting Managing Director and Partner (RMDP), Philadelphia Recruiting Directors (RDs), recruiting directors at BCG core schools, and regional recruiting teams to lead and execute the annual recruiting pipeline across OneBCG, entry-level core business consulting (Associates and Consultants) from both campus and experienced hire pools, as well as support Experienced Hire, Digital, and Analytics recruiting efforts for the Philadelphia office.
Specifically, the TAL/TAM teams with Philadelphia office and regional leadership to develop the overall recruiting strategy for the Philadelphia office and Philadelphia-owned schools/programs. You are primarily responsible for the implementation of this strategy, in partnership with Philadelphia Recruiting Directors (RDs), and the management of day-to-day operations of the Philadelphia recruiting department. To the extent that the recruiting organizational structure and processes require change to ensure that these needs are met, the Talent Acquisition Lead/Manager will suggest and implement those changes.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Support Philadelphia office recruiting strategy development (jointly with OL, RMDP, RDs)
Oversee office-specific recruiting efforts in support of annual Philadelphia office Consultant and Associate hiring targets:
Drive BCG-wide recruiting efforts at Philadelphia-managed schools / programs (current portfolio includes Carnegie Mellon, University of Pennsylvania, Villanova, Haverford, Swarthmore and Bryn Mawr)
Manage experienced hire recruiting efforts for Philadelphia office in close coordination with region (by working with executive recruiters, Practice Area recruiting team, and other offices to fill Philadelphia-office Project Leader, Principal, and Expert positions)
Responsible for developing processes and driving change for new initiatives (e.g., short lead time recruiting, ADC recruiting, going deeper at core schools, strengthen presence at local schools, GAMMA/digital recruiting)
Manage the Philadelphia office recruiting team: lead and develop the Philadelphia Talent Acquisition Specialist (currently scoped as one direct report)
On-board and team with Philadelphia RDs to develop, execute, and evaluate season-specific candidate strategies; specific efforts include:
o Specialist training and engagement
o School-specific candidate targeting activities
o Candidate coaching and feedback, relationship support
o Decision-round candidate selection
o [With RP, OL] Final candidate offer decisions
o Conversion strategy and Offeree Lead coordination, tracking
o Offeree weekend strategies and execution
Manage Philadelphia recruiting cadre training, commitment, and performance tracking processes (select and train interviewers, staff NAMR events and interviews with the right mix of consulting staff, ensure commitments are upheld, manage swap process, etc.)
Manage Philadelphia Associate and Consultant summer internship programs, including coordination and execution of orientation, training, case staffing, performance evaluation, and affiliation events
Manage annual budget for Philadelphia office recruiting and internship activities
Ensure recruiting records, global database, and metrics are up to date and accurate
Collect and analyze information and data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting efforts, utilizing the regional analytics team as necessary
Help drive continuous improvement efforts in Philadelphia office recruiting; Work with other offices in the North East system to improve recruiting efforts and identify synergies across the system
Build network and liaise with peers in other offices as well as regional recruiting to ensure alignment on all initiatives; Actively participate in the Office Leads team meetings and joint work
Help create recruiting content for monthly Philadelphia Officer/Principal meetings, Philadelphia staff meetings, and other relevant forums
Support broader Philadelphia office Business Services Team (BST) management efforts; be a leader in the office
Meet and coordinate with other BST leadership in the office (e.g., working with the Finance manager on capacity planning and management)
Lead and execute strategic projects as needed
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Education and experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent required, MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred
6 or more years of previous recruiting, HR or other related experience. Prior professional services recruiting experience a plus
Supervisory/management experience required
Consulting experience or exposure a plus
Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization
Flexibility and some travel required, particularly around peak recruiting season and planning weeks; Attendance at key evening and weekend events required
Functional and soft skills:

Youll be working with a closely knit team of three other Talent Acquisition members in Philadelphia. You will report directly to the North America Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, Local Office Operations but also work closely with the Philadelphia Office Coordinator (OC), Philadelphia Office Administrator (OL), Philadelphia Recruiting Managing Director and Partner (RMDP), Philadelphia RDs, and regional Talent Acquisition teams and leadership across North America, being the go-to person for all things Philadelphia Talent Acquisition!
