Job Summary

Responsible for providing first level management over professional individual contributors and/or skilled support staff. Acts as an advisor to a group and may have oversight into scheduling of work and resolution of problems. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet the goals. Has supervisory responsibility over a group of employees.

Job Responsibilities

* Provides direct supervision/oversight to professional individual contributors and/or skill, support staff. Acts as an advisor to the group and assigns and monitors work. May be involved in the hiring, firing and performance review processes.
* Provides oversight to employees according to established policies and procedures. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules.
* Interacts and works collaboratively with peers. Establishes and maintains constructive working relationships with stakeholders. May participate collaboratively in functional and cross-functional teams to meet objectives, improve processes, and improve stakeholder satisfaction.
* Oversees and works on issues where analysis of the situation or data requires review or relevant factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate actions.
* Accepts responsibility for delegated decision-making and reinforces and influences others to demonstrate the same support for empowered decision-making. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
* Provides guidance to departmental employees working within the latitude of established policies. Administers company polices that directly affect employees. Recommends changes to policies.
* Outlines specific objectives and processes that are focused on generating innovative solutions to business problems.
* Identifies and researches unique stakeholder opportunities, issues, and requests. Implements innovative processes or changes that support the business.
* Develops and submits ideas which support the achievement of innovative goals.
* Oversees the day-to day work of staff. Contributes to the hiring, firing, and performance management processes. Builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.
