Job Description

The Computer Systems Technician is an hourly position that develops, writes, tests and implements programming logic and modifications for process control systems and HMI's within operations. This positions ensures all computer-controlled processes are running properly to keep our production lines running.

Reports to: Electrical Maintenance Team Leader

Span of Control: Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots all computer-controlled processes in operations, including robotic systems

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform maintenance, repairs, installation, and troubleshooting of automated and robotic process systems and equipment.

* Repair of PLC control systems including, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, SLC, PLC5, and Siemens S7.
* Interface with plant IS/IT Technician to ensure computer-based process control systems are compatible with plant IS/IT architecture and comply with corporate IS/IT standards and rules.
* Provide technical support to projects to improve, upgrade, and modify process controls, instrumentation, and automated systems.
* Perform general electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on motors, motor starters, motor controls, and other general manufacturing electrical equipment.

Maintain programming documentation and flow diagrams for historical information.

* Responsible for maintaining historical records and records for all software changes.
* Retrieve work schedules and orders, and enter information into SAP for work performed and time confirmation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be 18 years or older
* Must be able to read, write, and speak English
* Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
* Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US
* Must be drug free.
* Rotating shifts - days and nights 12-hour shift.
* Stand for extended prolonged periods during 12-hour shift.
* Lifting up to 50lbs
* Climbing and working ladders
* Climbing stairs
* Must have a two-year Associate degree in Electronic Systems Technology and/or four years related experience and or training in an industrial environment. Combination of college and experience will be given consideration.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

* Ability to wear a respirator is preferred.
* Intermediate or industrial electrical experience/skills or prior qualifications as a PCS.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

* Operate a computer or other keyboard instruments
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
* Must be able to work with and troubleshoot computer hardware applications, software applications, including computer architecture, networking, and software development specifically, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Kuka Robotic Systems.
