Position Description
* This position will be required to work different shifts that may include weekends.
* Responsible for supervision of the Control Room and Field Operations
* Manage manpower to ensure adequate personnel are scheduled to perform required work.
* Ensure all operations personnel are working in a safe manner, wearing proper PPE and following procedures. Ultimate goal to maintain a zero incident rate.
* Provide vacation coverage for supervisors and scheduler as required.
* Assist with putting together new hire training manuals and train new hires and other personnel as needed.
* Be OQ qualified as a proctor/evaluator and assist with the training requirements of operations personnel.
* Assist in creating and implementing procedures within Operations; to include: documentation and monitoring
* Review procedures and processes with all operations personnel to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
* Conduct daily safety walks and talks with all operations personnel.
* Maintain docks and supervision of dock personnel. Coordinate dock work with scheduler and engineering. Ensure employees are using correct PPE at all times and following procedures.
* Ensure all dock hoses meet C/G requirements. Have personnel repair, remove and replace as needed.
* Work with superintendent to maintain pump house and dock schedules. Assist with managing all of operations vacation schedules.
* Maintain facility and equipment; i.e., supervise alignment & set-up of tanks, pumps and pipelines for the transfer of products to and from ships, barge, railcar and tank trucks.
* Coordinate with maintenance to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all related equipment.
* Complete all operational documentation accurately, neatly and efficiently.
* Work with engineering, maintenance and operations union personnel with project work.
* Work with maintenance and operations union personnel with project work.
* Investigate and report incidents, to include: interviewing and taking pictures of incident area, compliance with incident reporting procedures and examine cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
* Create W/O'S to resolve issues with equipment and hazards. Follow up with W/O's to ensure proper repair.
* Ensure proper payroll coding and tenant labor forms are accurate and complete.
* Maintain clean and safe sample shed.
* Answer after hours calls and respond to the terminal as needed.
* Provide weekly summary of work completed and improvements made.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Physical requirements include, but may not be limited to, walking up and down stairs/ladders, negotiating uneven surfaces, and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Must be able to wear standard PPE (Hard Hat, Goggles, Rain Gear, Steel Toe Boots), and qualify to wear a Full Face Respirator.
-Excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions) are required.

Preferred experience, skills and knowledge
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
* Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, OQ, RMP, Industrial Hygiene and other industry regulations.
* Experience with handling Hazardous liquid chemicals.
* Experience in supervising and/or managing in a union environment is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
* 5 years of previous supervisory experience
