Job Description

Description: This is a lead position whose main objective is to efficiently manage the RRD Durham warehouses (work in progress, materials and finished goods) and supervise the production of the Packout lines.

Primary Job Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

* Follows company safety policies and procedures
* Participate with Leadership in Warehouse and Distribution (W&D) strategy development
* Champion projects that support strategy by improving warehouse efficiency, reducing inventory levels and delivering business value
* Translate customer and/or business needs to continuous improvements projects and KPIs aligned with industry best practices
* Work with other supply chain associates to embed W&D into overall business processes
* Partner with IT on developing and driving creation of IT based solutions for new robust processes from current state analysis to future state definition based on industry best practice
* Supervise the packout line production to increase productivity and ensure consistent production (NO down lines due to lack of components)
* Oversee tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods
* Oversee tasks related to loading and unloading materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles
* Oversee material handling process, including receiving and filling orders
* Ensure installation of protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
* Verify computations against physical count of stock
* Oversee condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.
* Responsible for training warehouse staff to best practices, coaching and counseling staff.



Required Skills

Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years experience with fulfillment and warehouse processes
Experience in documenting warehouse processes and distribution business requirements
Understanding 3PL system integrations
Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) in warehouse management processes and industry best practices
Process thinking, ability to develop and articulate work in terms of a repeatable process
Leadership skills and ability to direct staff
Excellent communication skills and ability in building relationships, and influencing with stakeholders and internal customers
Demonstrated experience driving to solutions and creating structure to solve problems
Exceptional computer skills in the entire Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ability to learn and streamline existing technology to improve existing processes
Must be willing to adjust work schedules to meet the demands of clients
Must be a strong team player with a personal commitment toward the business and its customers
