PCC Aerostructures Auburn is a kitting, assembly, and integration center that was created in 1999 as Primus International with the merger of Bumstead Manufacturing, Inc. and Hansen Machine Corporation.

Position Summary

As a key member of the division payroll team, the Payroll Specialist coordinates the processing of multiple payrolls for the company. Ensures that payroll processes are in compliance with governing agencies and applicable regulations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares, documents, and disburses payroll checks; calculates gross and net pay amounts (e.g., salary, overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, payroll liabilities, etc.)
Processes manual checks and wire transfers
Assists with setting up new earnings and deduction codes, pay rules, holiday schedules, accrual profiles, etc.
Calculates and processes retroactive checks and bonus payments
Maintains payrollspecific records and reconciles data; troubleshoots any issues that arise
Provide guidance to plant HR leaders and Finance staff; answers questions regarding payroll matters
Completes quarterly and yearly tax reports and W2s
Creates, reviews, and distributes payroll reports

Experience & Education

At least 4 years of payroll experience
Multistate payroll experience highly desired
Associates Degree in Accounting preferred

Required Skills

Ability to prioritize work with high volume data, meet established deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, while working in a team or group environment
Proficiency in the use of payroll systems, preferably ADP Vantage
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written, with customers, employees, and management regarding highly confidential and sensitive information
