The Northrop Grumman Space Operations amp; Maintenance/Sustaining Engineering group is responsible for ensuring that all operations procedures, technical documentation, training products and flight operations personnel are ready to support on-orbit spacecraft operations. O amp;M/SE also manages all on-orbit anomaly investigations, tech refresh activities, and technical information exchanges with our customers. The team supports on-orbit earth/space science missions and is expanding into further mission types. The successful candidate:

* Works with a Mission Operations Lead and Program Management to update, review, and validate mission operations procedures in support of on-orbit programs.
* Works with a Mission Operations Lead to update and review mission operations documentation to be used internally as well as delivered to the customer.
* Works with a Mission Operations Lead to develop, update, and review training material to be both used internally as well as delivered to the customer.
* Leads Anomaly Review Boards and works with the Mission Operations Lead to push investigations to closure.
* Coordinates with subsystems engineers to obtain technical inputs for operations documentation amp; procedures and anomaly actions

Basic Qualifications - Principal Mission Operations Development Engineer: Bachelor 39;s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field and at least 5 years rsquo; experience with system and/or hardware design and analysis, or Master 39;s degree Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field and at least 3 years rsquo; experience with system and/or hardware design and analysis; or a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field

Basic Qualification - Sr. Principal Mission Operations Development Engineer: Bachelor 39;s degree Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field and at least 9 years rsquo; experience with system and/or hardware design and analysis, or Master 39;s degree Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field and at least 7 years rsquo; experience with system and/or hardware design and analysis; or a PhD Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field and at least 4 years rsquo; experience with systems and/or hardware design and analysis.

Basic Qualifications (continued)

* Previous experience in satellite systems engineering is required
* Ability to work periodic nights/weekends/holidays in support of on-orbit operations anomalies is required
* US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ability to obtain DoD security clearance is preferred, but not required
* Experience with LEOStar-3 satellite systems engineering
* Experience with the ICESat-2 Satellite
* Ability to read and interpret scripted languages (e.g. PERL, Python, STOL) is preferred, but not required
* Previous experience with spacecraft mission planning is preferred, but not required
* Previous experience performing operations procedure development or update is preferred but not required
* Previous experience developing cost amp; schedule estimates is preferred, but not required
* Experience with satellite ground systems
