Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Software Engineer ndash; Enterprise Services based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
What You rsquo;ll get to Do:
* This position is for a Technical Lead/Software Architect. The candidate will be responsible for leading software development in the Java language for the Enterprise Services product team.
* Responsible for review and approval of systems engineering requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and software architecture artifacts.
* Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
* Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products.
* Creates specifications to develop or modify system applications.
* Guides team members with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
* Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the system. Leads design, code, test and implementation of tools for operations automation.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.
* An active Secret clearance is required.
* 14 Years with Bachelor rsquo;s degree in a related field; 18 years rsquo; experience in lieu of a degree.
* Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience.
* The candidate will have experience and knowledge of software practices such as coding standards and configuration management.
* Capable of applying advanced technical principles to development of enterprise applications for large distributed systems.
* Advanced expertise with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
* Experience with server side/database development and computer system administration.
* Ability to develop advanced technological ideas and guide their development into a final product.
* The candidate must have demonstrated leadership skills over software projects.
* Experience leading Agile teams
* Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence and Eclipse.
* Experience developing standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous C2BMC or related command and control system experience.
* Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scrips.
* Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, and guide development of solutions.
* Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation.
* Security+ or equivalent desired.
* The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
* Applicant should have good working knowledge of MS Office products.
