Job Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS:

Basic Functions:

Provide quality technical support to Brandt Sales, Leasing and Industrial groups. Assist with Conroe Test Facility operations. Assist with specific service activities and product applications as directed by the Technical Services Manager.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Install, plumb and conduct equipment tests in the field. Record data as directed in written test procedures for each test.
2. Conduct or oversee field test as required by Engineering or clients; provide written test reports.
3. Secondary responsibility for condition of test facility equipment, tools and servicing of the same.
4. Assist Sales, Leasing and Industrial with field rig visits to determine proper equipment placement for best process applications.
5. Travel to rig or installation site for commissioning of new equipment, oversee initial operation as requested, train rig crews, mechanics and maintenance personnel in proper operation and care.
6. Assist Sales, Leasing and Industrial in test and experimental set-ups, either at Conroe Test Facility or in field applications, as instructed by the Manger of Technical Service.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Follow all safety rules and regulations as provided by NOV Brandt and customer company representatives, including the ability to use personal protective devices as required by company or client policy.
2. Perform other related duties as prescribed by Senior Technical Service Technicians and the Technical Services Manager.

Job Requirements:

1. 0 to 5 years experience in oilfield equipment application or mechanical background.
2. Familiarity in use of drilling equipment and required procedures.
3. Experience with mechanical / electrical tools and test equipment.
4. Experienced in testing procedures in controlled laboratory environment.
5. Basic computer skills with interest in gaining additional knowledge.
6. Good communication skills; must be able to speak, read and write English correctly.
7. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
8. Experience with personal computers. Software to include Microsoft Office Pro and Symix.

Training required during and after probationary period met.

1. Health Safety and Environmental Course, as specified and as available.
2. Defensive Driving Course, as specified and as available.
3. Other Industry seminars and courses, as specified and as available.
