Job Description

JOB DUTIES:

Assembles and packages designated products such as valves and plungers, partially or completely, working at a bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties:

1. Assemble equipment according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints using hand and power tools and some measuring devices.
2. Checks completed units, insuring proper alignment of parts and components and notes any need for modification.
3. Conducts or assists in final test to ensure proper operation of parts.
4. Notifies management of malfunctions.
5. Assists in trouble shooting, noting need for corrective action.
6. Grind components as necessary to meet the requirements of individual components.
7. Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Reasoning Abilities:

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to read blueprints
* Ability to set up and assemble pumps as normally acquired through Vo-Tech training.
* Knowledge of shop safety practices
* Knowledge of quality assurrance as normally acquired through in-house seminars and training.
* Broad knowledge and experience in:
* Above average skills in: Retaining Instruction.
* Demonstrated ability to: Progressively Assemble.
* General knowledge of: Mechanical applications.

Required Education/ Experience:

* High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred Experience:

* Two to three years related experience and/or training.
