Georgetown Community Hospital a 12 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a Registered Nurse to join our combination Intensive Care and Bariatric Care Units. This is a PRN position and you would be a member of a highly skilled team of Critical Care nurses, physicians, and technicians. Your graduation of an accredited school of nursing, current RN license, plus current BLS ACLS and PALS certifications are the minimum requirements.

Job Responsibilities

* As an RN you will ensure delivery of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes
* Revise plan of patient care as needed
* Provide compassion to the patient and the patients family members
* Attend staff meetings as needed
* Every patient entering the unit shall be assessed and priorities of care determined in accordance with physical and psychological needs, assessment shall include systematic and pertinent collection of data about the health status of the patient
* Ensure that necessary supplies and equipment be available for patient care
* Assure the safety of patients, co-workers, significant others, and themselves
* Interventions taken are based on changing patient needs and are implemented in a safe/effective manner
* Teaching shall be an ongoing process that includes provision of information about the patient's condition, patient and significant other responsibilities, and options and recommendations for appropriate follow-up
* Demonstrate commitment to education and sharing of knowledge through interaction with orienting nurses, students, and pre-hospital care providers
* Maintain competence and current adherence to established standards of practice

Job Requirements

Qualifications

* Associates Degree ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
* Bachelors degree BSN or higher preferred
* Current unencumbered license by KY Board of Nursing
* BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification required
* TNCC certification preferred
* CCRN certification preferred
* PCCN certification preferred
* 1 year previous Critical Care experience preferred
* The RN requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
