Central Carolina Hospital
The RN-Dialysis provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Their duties will include:
1. Completing a focused patient assessment with reassessments based on patients condition, procedures, medications given and treatments.
2. Adequately assesses and reassesses pain.
3. Utilizing appropriate pain management techniques.
4. Performing patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and specific needs.
5. Demonstrating knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and the patients clinical condition.
6. Following the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors.
7. Assisting physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
8. Performing treatments and provides services to the level of licensure.
9. Performing all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.
10. Managing and operating equipment safely and correctly.
11. Educating patient and family on disease process.
Job Requirements
Require Required Education:
Associates degree is required
Bachelors degree is preferred
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
Required Certification:
American Heart Association BLS is required
Additional certifications are required by department
Other:
1 year of experience in a health care setting is preferred
