We are currently looking for a Logistics Sourcing Analyst to join our Strategic Sourcing team responsible for Global Logistics Sourcing & Solutions. This position is based out of our Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.

This teams primary focus is providing logistics solutions for Huntsman businesses - local, regional, and global. The sourcing function and organization are fully centralized to best leverage the footprint, optimize spend and proliferate best practices, logistics technology solutions and innovations across the network of Huntsman businesses.

What will be expected from this role, position & team?

* RFQ Preparation & ongoing support
* Datamining, spend stream analysis, M&A support
* Solid understanding of logistics execution activity within the remit of the organization
* Grasps the transactional and operational aspects in each mode well enough to guide supply chain and sourcing partners
* Lead Agile projects and targeted improvement initiatives with LSPs, often partnering with our Supply Chains, sites and other shared service organizations
* Skilled at data mining, process mining, validation, root cause analysis
* Collaborate with cross functional/cross divisional colleagues, internal customers, external LSPs on projects and strategic sourcing initiatives
* Work towards the goals and objectives established within the vertical, understanding some of these will change or shift in alignment with businesses
* Identify and drive cost reduction / cost savings efforts with our LSPs
* Negotiate cost and service based solutions with LSPs in support of acute business needs, issue resolution or RFQ negotiation
* Stay up to speed on current trends in logistics technologies from RPA, B2B, autonomous and visibility tools to process mining systems and methodologies, innovations and key market movers
* Prompt communications of actual or potential/forecasted market, industry or physical conditions or movements, possible disruptions, bottlenecks, constraints, etc providing guidance and mitigation strategies / options
* Work collaboratively and share knowledge with colleagues, participate in training and education where appropriate
* Logistics Sourcing Analyst will strive to become the SME in Logistics & Transportation procurement, understanding Incoterms2020, executing RFQs, establishing LSP criteria, qualify & quantify LSPs, facilitating Change Management, Implementations, communications (written oral presentation) and possess a strong mathematical aptitude with analytical skills, data mining, robust relationship management skills, basic understanding of financial metrics and functions like FCF, DPO/DSO, FPY, accruals and some familiarity with risk management/insurance, trade compliance, ERPs/SAP.
* Bi-lingual and cultural awareness to support a globally scoped organization from Europe to Asia to the Americas
* International & Domestic Travel Possible 5%-10%; aoh availability per business requirements
* Be VERY comfortable with change

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

* In addition to demonstrated capabilities and experience commiserate with to the above expectations, a Bachelors Degree (BS preferred) with 3+ years closely related experience specific to chemical industry logistics and logistics procurement processes
