Job Description:
Environmental Team Lead
Huntsmans Performance Products Division is now searching for a new Environmental Team Lead who will directly responsible for ensuring Huntsman Conroe is in compliance with all state and federal environmental rules and laws as well as corporate policies and procedures. This role is an active, full member of the site leadership team, located in Conroe, Texas.
As the Environmental Team Lead, you will:
* Provides operations with technical support for waste management as an individual contributor.
* Directs activities of the Conroe plant environmental group.
* Consults and advises plant management and supervision on all environmental compliance issues.
* Supports and participates in all process safety management (PSM) compliance efforts, including management of change (MOCs), process hazards analyses (PHAs), incident investigations and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSRs).
* Oversees all communications and interactions with government environmental agencies.
* Oversees, develops and submits environmental reports to government agencies as required by law and/or permit.
* Develops direct reports to ensure succession plan is satisfied.
* Oversees the environmental compliance database and ensures it is updated and current.
* Identifies, recommends, and oversees environmental continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and experiences required:
* Bachelors in Environmental science or Engineering
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in Environmental or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years in petrochemical environmental compliance experience
* Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
* Certifications in environmental management or a PE license is a plus
