ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
As the Assistant Director of Customer Research, youll partner with senior leaders across the enterprise to support their strategic priorities through a meaningful research agenda. Working with our 13-member Enterprise Customer Research team, the Assistant Director of Customer Research will help to inform our organizations products, services, value propositions and customer experiences through delivery of actionable voice-of-customer insights.

The position reports to the Director, Research Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Assistant Director of Customer Research you will:
* Design, manage and analyze primary research projects focused on insurance buyers and intermediaries. Using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
* Provide analysis and insight into industry, products, areas of focus, and tactics based on primary research and secondary market information.
* Act as liaison between business clients, external vendors and the customer research team to ensure delivery of insightful and actionable research.
* Identify and build relationships with external research vendors that employ best practices and state of the art research techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ of primary marketing research experience on the client or vendor side (including research, advertising, and innovation firms)
* Experience in financial services and/or business to business marketing research a plus.
* Ability to design, execute and analyze primary quantitative and qualitative marketing research from developing independent questionnaires to selecting the methodology to collecting and analyzing data.
* Solid understanding of the role traditional and evolving marketing research plays in strategic decision-making.
* Creative thinker, problem solver, well organized, and extremely detail oriented. Effective project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities. Intrinsically motivated to act with a sense of urgency.
* Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills that translate into delivering research information and insights to various audiences and leadership levels.
* Data analysis skills using software such as Excel, SPSS and/or Qualtrics.
* Ability to work as a part of a diverse group and to build cooperative, productive relationships with members of the research team, internal business partners and suppliers.
* Leadership skills including the ability to inspire others, focus on key priorities, deliver results, apply sound judgment to all decisions, and drive growth and innovation.
* Bachelors degree required.
