Reviews and advises a Sourcing team on the development and execution of holistic, enterprise-wide category management strategies, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, diversity, and risk management initiatives. Leads and guides the team through the strategic sourcing process, utilizing the FedEx sourcing methodology to develop a world-class supply chain. Uses data science principles to examine complex datasets and deliver recommendations based on sound logic and evidence. Establishes supplier scorecard criteria and monitors supplier performance. Effectively identifies, manages, and monitors risk. Works on multiple complex assignments concurrently. Leads and manages cross-functional teams and projects. Develops, mentors, and empowers less experienced team members in effective category management. Effectively interacts with executives on a routine basis. Acts with senior-level authority with suppliers, business stakeholders, Finance, and Legal.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics or other quantitative discipline. Minimum five (5) years work experience in strategic sourcing and/or category management a related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Exceptional analytical decision making skills. Superior demonstrated skills with current technology tools/advances and database/analytical tools. Proven negotiating skills and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
This position will be in Memphis, Tennessee.
