Job Description
Assist sundry billing and contract administration functions in the Revenue & Regulatory Accounting department.
* Processing of sundry billings for Eversource companies, ensuring timeliness, proper entry to the OAR billing system, including adjustment bills, write-offs, etc.
* Balance and ensure daily wire/ACH transactions have been properly posted within the billing system and are accurate.
* Prepare and disseminate special studies and analyses of reports involving sundry activities as required by management.
* Update the OAR Billing System for changes to billing type functions, automatic information to be displayed on bills, and other necessary changes as required by the sundry process.
* Assist Contract Administration and other personnel in Revenue & Regulatory Accounting with assigned tasks/group goals, as needed.
* Assist with coordinating sundry activities with other areas within accounting, treasury, transmission group, real estate group, field operations, IT, and outside personnel.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Individual must process the ability to work both independently and as part of the team, on various assignments with good judgment, communication and interpersonal skills.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications EXCEL / WORD and terminal/PC applications and be able to meet monthly accounting deadlines.
Ability to acquire knowledge of Company policies and procedures relative to the billing function using Oracle Accounts Receivable System and invoice payment process using Maximo.
Ability to analyze information, determines facts, and makes decisions / recommendations accordingly, as related to the company's sundry billing functions.
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE
Two to four years of related experience.
High School degree. Some college courses preferred.
