Midstream Natural Gas Team

DTE Midstream is an owner, operator and developer of natural gas midstream interstate and intrastate pipelines; storage and gathering systems; and compression, treatment and surface facilities. Job Summary

Performs corporate and strategic business unit, treasury and accounting functions. Duties involve recording transactions, cash management, ledger and bank account reconciliations, wire instructions, analyzing and explaining variances from budget to actual. Often performs in the following areas of treasury and accounting: general accounting, treasury operations, holding company accounting and affiliate billing and budgeting and forecasting.
Key Accountabilities

Prepares special and routine journal entries. Ensures accounts are reconciled. Compiles and balances accounting data. Establishes billing for accounts receivable.
Utilizes continuous improvement and lean systems methodology to drive out costs and improve the quality of work/life balance
Creates a positive working environment by supporting DT Midstream and CFO Organization initiatives.
Analyzes accounting data to identify to identify problems and various solutions/improvements
Analyzes bank account activity
Assists in developing reports to communicate information and address accounting-related problems both internally and externally.
Performs Affiliate Billing processes and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements This position may require FERC gas training.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or the ability to obtain a Bachelor's degree in said concentrations no later than June 2021.
Other Qualifications

Preferred:
Advanced degree in taxation or MBA strongly preferred

Other Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
Proficient verbal, nonverbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to organize work independently and to work in teams
PC proficiency, including experience with MS Office Products
