Job Summary
Assists in the design of planned work and design change packages. Defines procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to perform planned work packages. Develops work standards to support work packages.
Key Accountabilities
* Completes work package preparation in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Conduct parts requisitioning and ordering.
* Leads and directs the work of the other planners in the work group.
* Must participate as ERO member and respond to call-ins as needed.
* Operates computer terminals to access Fermi 2 Power Plan informational databases.
* Plans, prepares and revises power plant work packages for Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument & Controls, and Preventive Maintenance work.
* Uses procedures, drawings, specifications, and vendor manuals in support of: Plan of the Day, forced/planned plant outages, and refueling outages.
* Works with various Nuclear Generation groups to resolve conflicts associated with work package planning and preparation.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Nuclear or Industrial Engineering and five years experience in Nuclear work control planning and review
* OR Associate degree with six years of the same experience.
* OR High School diploma or equivalent GED and seven years experience performing duties related to Nuclear work control planning, maintenance, or operations.
Other Qualifications
* Must work shifts as assigned and respond to plant events outside of normal working hours.
* Must be able to pass all phases of InProcessing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.
* Organizational management and supervision skills.
* Must be cognizant of all plant safety procedures and regulations.
* Ability to manage multiple work activities which will include numerous urgent time critical takes of varying priority.
