Job Summary

Operates heavy mobile equipment to feed plants and complete other tasks around the facility. Maintains housekeeping standards around plant. Works in all weather conditions and on 12-hour rotating shifts.

Key Accountabilities

Operates heavy mobile equipment to feed plants
Maintains plant area and ground with broom, shovel, and water hoses
Assists Plant Operators and maintenance teams with specific tasks
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates (if any), supervisors, managers, company officers, as well as, clients, vendors, and suppliers
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required
Performs special projects and job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

* High School diploma or GED equivalent

Must pass pre-employment drug test, and will be subject to random, for-cause, and post-accident drug testing, in accordance with Company policies and procedures
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Companys vehicle insurance policy
Must pass criminal history background check
Must pass fit for duty physical
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, orally and in written format
Ability to read and understand technical materials
Ability to prepare reports, including the ability to assemble information in software programs
Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Physical Demands:
Frequently lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting a maximum of 75 lbs. may be required
Lifting and carrying consists of various parts, materials, equipment, and similar from ground level to shoulder height
Position requires more than 8 hours, per shift 12 hour shift, of sitting, when operating equipment, and standing and walking, while not operating equipment
Work involves frequent bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, heavy grasping and operations of foot controls with occasional crawling, overhead reaching, driving, and fine hand function manipulations
Work includes climbing stairs and ladders continuously throughout the day
Position involves periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and sometimes walking in rugged terrain
Outside work is exposed to elements, high heat and humidity during the 7days per week and 12 hours per day shifts
Environmental factors include exposure to weather, protected and unprotected heights, fumes and dust, and loud noise. Personal fall protection arrest system (harness/lifeline) is required with unprotected heights
Position requires hard manual labor, such as shoveling and sweeping
Work requires the use of computers with exposure to video display terminals, the need to work in front of a computer terminal for extended periods of time and some repetitive motion associated with data entry and the use of a computer mouse
Adequate hearing is required to hear/ talk to individuals, and to use telephones on a consistent basis
Position involves being located at an operating facility and requires walking through the plant when required to observe equipment, and structures
Working Conditions:
The noise level in the work environment is quiet to extreme
The noise level in the facility is moderate to loud and proper hearing protection will be required in designated areas
Personal protective equipment must be worn for a majority of work duties
Frequent communication with employees, producers, and customers on a daily basis, including telephone as well as face-to-face interaction
Work is performed outside in all weather conditions
Work is performed in a field setting with exposure to environmental stress, and frequent interruptions
Work schedule is 12 hour rotating shift, with 7 days on and 7 days off
Work will involve driving Company vehicles
Must be able to remain calm and focused during emergency situations
Frequently be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
