JOB SUMMARY:

Materials clerk is responsible, for but not limited to, data entry, data review, reports, assist with cycle counts and inventory. Assist with counts of inventory in specific locations required by random count draws and quantity verification requests to ensure inventory accuracy including interpretation of reports with detailed results. Helps to ensure all out of stock and shortages are resolved in a timely manner. Provides assistance to S supervisor or manager in day-to-day functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Retrieve, review and enter data on PC or mainframe system
* Adheres to procedures required for materials documents and shipping and receiving documents
* Input and process the data to generate daily, weekly, monthly reports and charts
* Maintain Maintenance and recordkeeping of all department paperwork and electronic records
* Maintains equipment and insures supplies to support shipping / receiving documentation
* Issues and maintains all attribute data records
* Monitor and track departmental metrics---assists with charts, graphs and analysis
* Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory process plus research and resolve discrepancies and corrective entries
* Resolves any material needs, solving material problems and inventory control problems
* Effectively work with a variety of departments and people to locate parts and / or analyze reasons for shortages and overages---problem solve and correct reoccurrences
* Assist the Manager in day-to-day departmental functions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school diploma or GED. Trade school or related college work preferred.

Experience:

2 to 3 years of experience preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Certificate in related field a plus

Computer Skills:

Strong Excel with knowledge of pivot tables, charts, graphs, statistical operations. Word, Power Point

Mathematical Abilities:

Arithmetic, Statistics

Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to read and analyze data---problem solve

Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)

Strong written and verbal skills

Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities)

Outlook, keyboarding, ten-key

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Requires frequent visits to the manufacturing floor to interface with a variety of internal customers inspectors and to monitor and retrieve information
* May require to sit for long periods of time with walking and standing required.
