Summary:

Sheet metal fabricates sheet metal products and equipment. Work may involve setting up and operating machinery to cut, bend, and straighten metal parts to supply our upstream department with parts they need.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Read and follow written and verbal instructions
* Read and interpret blue prints and work orders
* Operate all equipment in the sheet metal department, including brake presses, lasers, and punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines
* Fill all part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department
* Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, angle finders, protractors, and other measuring instruments
* Perform appropriate preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling
* Work at a different work stations as production needs require
* Maintain work area in clean, safe and orderly manner
* Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individuals product line or work cell

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:

* High school diploma / GED required

Desired Characteristics

* Demonstrated ability in reading and interpreting blue prints and schematic drawings
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication
* Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
