POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating across departments to successfully launch new products and complex customer orders into production. This position relies on excellent verbal, visual, and electronic communication skills to coordinate activities and identify and coordinate resolution of project issues as they arise. This position will develop timelines, activities, and tasks and hold team members accountable for performing the required responsibilities for on-target execution of projects. As a new position at Heil, this position will work with other stakeholders to develop and deploy Standard Work for coordinated launch activities. This position is responsible for the reporting of the project status to stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
* Responsible for coordinating the production launch of new products and complex customer orders with all stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain Standard Work for production launches. Continue to adjust Standard Work to reflect lessons learned.
* Develop and maintain a project plan to achieve the goals of each project. The plan should be inclusive of all tasks needed to meet the goals with assigned owners and timings.
* Schedule and run recurring status meetings with all involved parties and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the success of the project.
* Communicate verbally, visually, and electronically to all stake holders the status, daily metrics, issues, resolutions, and activities of production launches.
* Evaluate the outcomes of the production launch with stakeholders. Incorporate lessons learned back into the Standard Work.
* Responsible for communicating daily metrics and status of all projects, as needed. Develops and uses simple, visual dashboards and stand-up huddles to flow information.
* Aligns production launches with principles of Lean Enterprise to include Flow, Pull, Problem-Solving, and Visual Management.
* Performs other tasks as needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors Degree in Business or Technical field or equivalent experience.
* Lean Manufacturing experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years experience with project management.
* Very Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications required.
* Experience and demonstrated ability with Microsoft Access and other database software is also a plus.
* Requires strong analytical abilities, as well as ability to effectively communicate with non-financial people.
* Strong control of work processes from beginning to end is necessary. The job demands fast, but carefully thought-out results.
* Must be able to handle multiple wide-range tasks.
* Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of Team Members.
* The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
* Must be a self-starter and exercise substantial degree of judgment. High standards, high quality work is of utmost importance. Decisions must be well thought out and analyzed.
