Are you a self-motivated, talented Embedded Software Engineer who understands the importance of engineering excellence to product development success?

In this role youll be designing, implementing, validating and maintaining embedded software for M-I current and future printers as a part of a global, cross-disciplinary Agile team.

Youll have an opportunity to work with talened engineers in a global environment, building complex products across avariety of printing technologies targeted to meet our customers needs and the strategic objectices of Markem-Imaje.

You should possess a minimum of 1-3 years of experience developing object orientated C++ embedded software.

Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:

Using well defined task design, implement, and validate high quality embedded software using estabshed standards as part of an Agile team of engineers

Obtain clarifications on assigned tasks

Estimate required effort on assigned tasks including time, materials, etc.

Participate in code and design reviews

Attend and participate in team meetings

Attend and participate in daily stand up meetings and participate in the entire agile process

Develop basic unit tests

Execute existing automated system tests

Perform manual system tests

Suggests improvements to the continuous integration process

Obtain enough knowledge in current Markem-Imaje printing technologies in order to contribute embedded software to such printers

Know the different Markem-Imaje printing technologies and where each technology fits in the industrial coding market

Education and/or Experience Required:

* A Bachelors' in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
* Hands-on experience through coursework or internship

General Skills:

* Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
* Basic design skills such as functional decomposition, UML, and design patterns
* Understanding of object oriented programming, pair programming, memory management, distributed systems programming, multi-threaded programming, and on-target debugging
* Understanding and knowledge of test driven development, unit testing, code reviews, and defect characterization
* Basic understanding of requirements analysis
