Job Summary
BHE GT&S Treasury Department has one opening available for a Corporate Disbursements Specialist I or Corporate DIsbursements Specialist II commensurate with the selected candidate's skills and experience.
BHE GT&S is an interstate natural gas transmission and storage company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, that became a standalone subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy in November 2020. We operate more than 5,560 miles of gas transmission line and 756 Bcf of underground storage in the eastern U.S., along with gathering, processing and field services businesses. We operate in 12 states. BHE GT&S is an industry leader in liquefied natural gas solutions, through initiatives such as Pivotal LNG and our 25% operating stake in the Cove Point LNG facility in Lusby, Maryland. The energy we deliver supports major distribution utilities, power plants and manufacturing. Our premier storage operations provide dependable, flexible support for direct customers and neighboring pipelines. At our multiple interconnects especially the liquid South Point hub BHE GT&S services support both producers and consumers, ensuring competitive access to abundant energy.
Responsibilities:
* This role performs operational and developmental activities with an overall objective of improving business processes.
* May assist with the administration or support of one or more accounts payable systems, business processes, or functions within Corporate Disbursements such as BHE GT&S credit card programs used for purchases of goods and services and travel expenses as well as the Payment Portal Programs.
* Provide expertise in handling invoice processing including review and resolution of problems.
* Perform various accounts payable duties which may include opening mail, scanning, indexing, invoice processing and assist vendor maintenance.
* Assist with researching, reconciling and resolving problems with issued checks.
* Respond and assist with all AP Hotline customer service inquiries.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Corporate Disbursements Specialist I required skills:
* 0-2+ years of directly releated experience
* Knowledge of concepts and applications of accounting principles.
* Knowledge of Accounting Systems
* Ability to prioritize, process, and control large volumes of work quickly and accurately.
* Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Demonstrates attention to detail.
Corporate DIsbursements Specialist II required skills:
* 3-5+ years of directly related experience.
* Strong knowledge of concepts and demonstrated applications of accounting principles.
* Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of automated accounting systems.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate, prioritize, process, and control large volumes of work quickly and accurately.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and coordinate with other business units as necessary.
* Demonstrated attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.
Education Requirements
