Job Summary

* Assists with the legislative review and tracking functions of Corporate Public Policy across Dominion Energys nationwide footprint. Contributes to research projects involving public policy matters, regulatory proceedings, and peer company benchmarking.
* Assists with writing assignments, legislative position statements, talking points, presentations and other communications used externally.
* Monitors and reports on third-party conferences and webinars, stakeholder meetings, regulatory proceedings, and legislative hearings.
* Supports development and review of key documents for the Annual Meeting of Shareholders and various climate, sustainability, and environmental-related reports and disclosures.
* Coordinates with internal subject matter experts to gain a broad understanding of public policy issues facing the company; synthesizes this information in service of drafting briefing documents and other materials.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Note: This is a primarily research-focused role which will seldom be involved in direct public/government relations.

The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined below.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

* 0-2 years of related experience.
* Very strong research skills. Ability to develop timely answers to research questions; ability to analyze large volumes of information and identify/summarize the most pertinent details.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to tailor communications to various audiencesthe general public, media, state/local officials, etc.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to accommodate shifting priorities, multi-task, synthesize information, and navigate ambiguity.
* Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to identify and edit for problems in substance, grammar, tone, etc. in a variety of forms of work product; ability to carefully review internal and external documents for accuracy.
* Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment; ability to develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).

Education Requirements

* Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor, Other Education: Public Policy, Government, Political Science, Communications.
