Collins Aerospaces Mechanical Systems (MS) Strategic Business Unit is a diverse business providing products supporting military and commercial airframers and operators. The Contracts group supporting the Propeller Systems (Props) portion of the MS business is currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager located in its Windsor Locks, CT, site.

The Props Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the Windsor Locks, CT Props Military Spares business, related repair and overhaul agreement formation and management as well coordination with the OEM side of the business to ensure effective support of end user customers. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, an effective communicator, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well supporting internal and external customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They will work for and with the Props Associate Director, Contracts & Business Management to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, and will be the primary Contracts POC/support for the Props Aftermarket Program Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Managing day to day activities related to both direct and indirect U.S. government and international customers
* Possible direct supervisory responsibility for a minimum of one (1) direct report
* Executing strategies for Aftermarket growth and performance
* Lead role in developing and guiding the Contracts team
* Ensuring contract and business compliance in all agreements
* Supporting proposal activities, reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions and preparing various types of contract agreements
* Managing customer change requests
* Identifying and mitigating contract and business risk
* Monitoring/reporting on accounts receivable and driving customer payments
* Supporting audits and contract closeouts
* Assist in driving company initiatives including continuous improvement, standard work, and business financial goals

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR
* Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
* In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must have previous contracts or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) contracts
* Experience with Aftermarket and/or military contracts
* Proficiency in contract negotiation/drafting
* Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Demonstrated skills in negotiating government contracts
* Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated customer focus/business partnership
