Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated scientist to join our Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetic (DMPK) Group as a Senior Scientist at our Princeton, NJ site. The role is in the Pharmaceutical Candidate Optimization (PCO) department that encompasses broad support for Discovery programs and has a diverse range of expertise in DMPK, toxicology, pharmaceutics and bioanalytical sciences.

Responsibilities:

* Provide subject matter expertise on absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) modeling in support of Discovery projects

* Take mechanistic approaches and conduct relevant experiments to understand drug disposition profiles and PK-PD relationships for issue resolution, program advancement, and translation of dosage regimens from preclinical to clinical

* Represent the DMPK group in Discovery project teams and contribute to program science and strategies across the Discovery portfolio

Qualifications & Experience:

* Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, biochemistry, or related discipline

* 0-5 years of relevant experience

* A good understanding of DMPK and PK-PD principles is essential to this job

* Demonstrated problem-solving skills, critical/strategic thinking ability, and capability of integrating data across multiple sources are required

* Hands-on experience in conducting in vitro and/or in vivo experiments is required; experience in modeling and simulation is a plus

* Strong communication skills and ability to work and collaborate in a cross-functional team setting are critical for this role
