DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crowns Food Division is the number one manufacturer of food cans in the world. Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products. We offer a wide selection of food cans from round to bowl as well as shaped cans. We truly focus on excellence. Here is your chance to join the Crown Food Division.

LOCATION:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The plant manufactures 3-piece steel cans for the food industry over 3 shifts. A new 2-piece food can line is being added to this facility and will be operational in 2021. This new line will position the Hanover plant with the ability to serve our customers with a diverse mix of packaging products. With this new line, the Hanover plant will employee over 70 team members. The Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to Gettysburg PA, York PA and the Maryland border.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Electrical Technician will provide support to plant operations through troubleshooting, performing maintenance, repairing and installing of equipment, electrical systems and components.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, the Electrical Technicians responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems and devices within the plant
Knowledge and solid understanding of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
Assist in new installations and upgrades of plant equipment
Conduct process checks as required
Perform regular safety inspections to ovens
Work with and lead outside contractors as needed to complete projects or various plant maintenance functions
Keep work area safe, clean and organized
Assist and support other production floor operations as required
Keep Production Supervisor and Department Manager informed of operational status of equipment
Complete all administrative tasks, including log books, data entry and record keeping in proper order

Job Requirements

Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or Journeymans card required
High School Diploma or GED
6 -10 years manufacturing experience
Ability to work overtime or weekends if necessary (for projects)
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Ability to work twelve (12) hour shift with shift flexibility
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance
High level of mechanical aptitude
Experience programming and setting up Allen Bradley PLCs
o Logix 5000 based systems
o SLC 500
o PLC-5
Experience with HMI Programming and set-up
o Rockwell PV and PV+
o Automation Direct, C-More Touch Panels
Knowledge of PLC Network programming and set-up
o DeviceNet
o Ethernet IP
Knowledge of variable speed drives (programming and set-up)
Experience with high pressure hydraulics and pneumatics
Experience with automated material handling systems
Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics and manuals
Experience troubleshooting magnetic controls (e.g. switches, relays and solenoids)
Knowledge and experience terminating transformers and electric motors
Solid understanding of OSHA's electrical safe work practices (e.g. Lock-out/Tag-out, NFPA 70 Electrical Code, NFPA 79 Machinery Standards)
Demonstrate knowledge of basic troubleshooting and calibration for electronics
Basic knowledge of servo and stepper motors and drives
Experience with installing and fashioning electrical conduit and installing electrical wireway and associated hangers
Able to use DVM, analog type multi-meter, Amprobe, megger, oscilloscope and soldering station FB
Safety sensitive position
