Job Summary
Manages water and wastewater compliance and sustainability for the facility. Provides hands on support, training and leadership to plant team members to ensure operations are in compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations including permits and corporate policies. Works closely with other plant functions to address issues on all projects to ensure that impacts on the environment are minimized and sustainability initiatives are implemented.
Position Responsibilities
* Responsible for identifying applicable environmental regulations and risks while interacting with Operations, Planning, Legal, Engineering and EHS Corporate to implement systems to ensure compliance and conformance to applicable regulations, EHS Policies and the environmental management system.
* Responsible for management of Plant's water and wastewater treatment facility.
* Leads and manages sustainable development projects, including developing annual plans to deliver GHG and water usage reductions and waste minimization activities.
* Implement ConAgra Foods Environmental Management System including periodic self-assessment.
* Develops, implements and documents training to ensure all plant team members receive required and appropriate training.
* Identifies, develops and manages capital projects associated with Environmental compliance and sustainability.
* Serve as liaison with community and local and state agencies to include IDNR.
* Effectively communicates with all levels of the plant and corporate organization.
Position Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
* Hold or be eligible to obtain Grade 4 Wastewater Certification
* 3+ years related experience
* 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
* Excellent proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Competency in using Microsoft office and other computer software
* Experience with agricultural land application of wastewater and solids, preferred
