The Accelerator team is looking for someone who can bring to market new SW/HW products in the Flash BU. Your first task is to own and drive the Zirconium initiative, which consists of a full stack MySQL on ZNS solution.

The strategic Initiatives team reports directly into the EVP of the Flash business at Western Digital. In this role you are responsible for the business results of one or more specifically chosen initiatives. You will drive the customer interaction, the product development, the 3rd party partner engagement and the linkage with the rest of Western Digital. You will autonomously run complex projects that span across teams ranging from Eng, PM, Sales & Support, Ops, Finance, etcetera.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Proven hands-on experience introducing new products to early customers

* Ability to drive Sales, BD, and product management

* Experience in managing partnerships with software ecosystem partners, OSS and commercial

* Highly entrepreneurial with a strong sense of ownership and autonomy

* Strong knowledge of the storage ecosystem, from high to low in the storage stack (HW/Firmware/System/Middleware/Applications), with emphasis on knowledge of SW/applications

* Comfortable working in ambiguous, quickly evolving, agile environment

* Flexible, self-motivated, and focused on getting things done

* Demonstrated ability and experience in effectively interacting top executives

* Experience working through change and solving complex problems

REQUIRED:

* Graduate Degree or MBA

* Undergrad in a technical field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or another hard science)

* 7+ years of experience in Business Development or Sales experience in Software Ecosystems, ideally in Storage industry.

* Knowledge of Product Mangement process.
