Job Description

The Virtual Events Manager is responsible for creating, hosting and guiding internal partners in the development of live and on-demand webinars and virtual events targeting our external customers and prospects. The Virtual Events Manager will serve as the webinar channel expert for Optum marketing leading the execution of tactics using best practices and advancing our use of technology to enhance the customer experience. Building virtual relationships with marketing managers, business unit partners and digital team members will be essential to ensure webinars and virtual events are executed on time, with a high quality of excellence, and align with existing campaign efforts that drive sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will be able to lead the strategy and execution of this marketing channel in partnership with a cross-functional team, have confidence presenting to large virtual audiences with high-level job titles, and advance the technology strategy and use of a webinar platform. The Virtual Events Manager will also be able to build trusted advisor relationships with colleagues in multiple business unit and marketing organizations in a matrix environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Lead the evolution of webinar strategy and technology optimization
* Flawless execution of webinars
* Maintain the webinar planning calendar for marketing
* Ability to define, collect and review webinar metrics and present across the organization
* Partner with various stakeholders to ensure seamless experience as it relates to webinars
* Train teams, as necessary, on webinar tools and best practices
* Manage and moderate multiple live webinars per month; manage for on-demand replay and promotion
* Execute webinars in various time zones, including global markets
* Responsible for ensuring consistent experience across multiple teams webinars

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree (or higher) or High School Diploma / GED with 3+ years of equivalent work experience
* 1+ years of hands-on webinar experience including planning, building, facilitating, moderating and tech support
* 1+ years of experience using a webinar platform such as WebEx, ON24, or AdobeConnect
* 1+ years of recent experience in a corporate or marketing agency work environment
* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with digital marketing campaign strategy and execution

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
