Job Description

The Optum Associate Compliance Director is responsible for supporting all aspects of the compliance program with focus on business operational compliance in delegated services, provider and clinical businesses. As a key member of the compliance team, this position provides compliance leadership and oversight of assigned national compliance functions and serves as a first point of contact for individuals on compliance matters.

Position Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership in the development of pre and post compliance due diligence risk analysis for diverse care delivery businesses

* Review and evaluate extensive due diligence documentation to identify potential material compliance risks. Partner with internal and external legal teams on identified compliance related matters

* Develop comprehensive compliance risk reports and ensure timely completion of prioritized post close compliance risk mitigation action plans

* Lead Optum Partner Services compliance program to include partnership with physician leaders to promote adherence, facilitate provider conflict of interest disclosure and review process

* Deploy and drive completion of required compliance training among provider populations

* Provide subject matter expertise for provider-centric policies, investigations, assessments, audits and reviews

* Proactively identify compliance issues/trends and implement effective mitigation actions

* Foster open communication with stakeholders to secure their understanding of compliance

* Lead multi-faceted projects to achieve key compliance objectives

* Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

* Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.

* Develop/maintain regulatory and operational knowledge of the enterprise

* Lead and develop team of compliance professionals

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree

* 7+ years of demonstrated experience leading and implementing a comprehensive physician practice Compliance Program, based on the seven elements

* Extensive experience in developing and validating compliance in clinic and physician practice environments

* Previous experience in conducting compliance due diligence assessments preferred

* Demonstrated ability to lead a team and influence in a large matrixed organization

* Adept at assessing complex problems and delivering innovative compliance solutions

* Exceptional written, verbal, critical thinking, organizational, problem solving and presentational skills

Colorado Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700 (add additional reference for sales and physicians).
