Who we are looking for

Senior C++ Windows Software Engineering Manager to join our well-established group and to guide developers, who maintain and enhance applications to support a large deck of clients in middle office space.. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level engineering team .

What you will be responsible for

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager you will

* Manage a team that provides technical leadership and co-ordinate work effort with other teams
* Works closely with business users, Development, QA and Infrastructure teams
* Manages the design of business accounting and reporting systems by leveraging experience in Windows C++ programming and design and Oracle/Exadata Database Technology
* Receiving and analyzing requirements and proposing a suitable solution that adheres to the team's methodology
* Manages a team that Delivers successfully within an Agile environment and demonstrates the flexibility and adaptability to operate successfully in such an environment
* Communicating with all parties involved including senior management, developers, architects, and end users, who may be based in different locations and time zones
* Coordinating the work of a small team of developers, potentially in different locations and time zones
* Taking ownership of planning, prioritization and delivery of business requested projects and running them from inception to deployment
* Applying skills in C++ development, Oracle relational database, development and build tools.
* Ability to lead or learn and adapt to new technologies being explored, including Web development (Java/React JS with Tomcat and Spring Boot Microservices, Kafka, Azure Cloud, Kubernetes/Dockers).

* Experienced, highly skilled in the following technologies as a design lead and senior developer. Visual C++ Development on Windows 7/10/Server 2016, Oracle/Exadata, Git, Java, Tomcat, React Js, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, MQ , PL/SQL, Scripting languages and other open source technologies etc.
* Expertise on Spring framework, Core Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot etc.
* Experience with Web Services
* Strong SQL skills with considerable experience in Oracle preferred
* Knowledge of XML/XSL, REST JSON
* Strong with OO design and development
* Solid grasp of algorithms, solving difficult heuristic/optimization types of problems
* Continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment experience.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

* 10+ years of software development, proficient in developing business solutions, preferably in financial space
* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
* Extensive knowledge of software development, proficient in developing business solutions
* Professional C++ development experience, Oracle Database experience
* Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changes
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills, ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector (Math background highly desirable)

Additional requirements

* Financial services/Risk industry knowledge is a significant plus.
