This position is for the DevOps team that provides automation and tooling to support the State Farm Telephone system. The primary focus of this team is to reduce administrative support costs by providing automated self-service capabilities to end-users of the phone system. To accomplish this, we are developing new solutions and modernizing existing applications. Heavily utilized technologies on our team include: Linux, Perl, Node.js, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Shell, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON Data Formats, Oracle, SQL, Docker and Git. Our team is using an agile methodology and is working to adopt a continuous delivery change model. We need a self-driven and innovative full-stack developer with good communication skills and a product mindsetAs a Fortune 50 company, we hire the best employees to serve our customers, making us a leader in the insurance and financial services industry. Responsibilities

A Day In The Life Of A Full Stack Software Developer

This is a collaborative, fast-paced, and fun environment providing automated solutions, where you will:
Participate in the full software development cycle including: design, development, testing, implementation, support, and sunset of solutions to satisfy business needs.
Utilize industry best practice software development approach (Web Service design, source code management, code reviews, testing, continuous delivery, and software architecture).
Quickly adapt to a changing environment and learn new technologies.
Share knowledge, coach and mentor others.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as Backlog Grooming, Planning, and Daily Stand-up meetings
Apply emerging technology solutions to increase efficiency and improve application usability/user experience

Qualifications

We Are Looking For Candidates With

Required Qualifications

Full Stack Development experience

Scripting language experience (for example: Perl, Node.JS, or Shell)

Modern Web Technology experience (for example: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or jQuery)

Web services experience (REST/ SOAP)

Linux technologies

Database query language knowledge (for example: SQL, MYSQL, and Oracle) Dev Ops Technology knowledge (for example: Docker and Gitlab)

Preferred Qualifications

JAVA development experience

Application Architecture experience

Web Frameworks (for example: Angular or Reactjs)

Familiarity with the Cisco AXL Schema
