Where you fit in?

The Reliability & Data Engineer reports within the Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Reliability, & Data Engineering Department directly to the department Manager.

What's the role?

The Reliability & Data Engineer is responsible to maximize site reliability through the implementation of innovative technologies as described in the Reliability & Data Engineering Skills sections.

The Reliability & Data Engineer leads interdisciplinary teams to proactively devise and implement sustainable, systemic solutions for operational and technical issues. The Reliability & Data Engineer works closely with individuals from all engineering disciplines, crafts, and operators in order to lead sustainable & proactive defect elimination.

This cross-functional Reliability perspectivecoupled with the Data Engineers toolsetprovides the ideal platform to develop maximum-efficiency work processes

The skills listed below are targeted for the roleit is not expected that a successful applicant will be proficient in all the following skills, but rather to have significant experience in a portion of them, and an aptitude to further learn the rest as business needs arise.

Data Engineering Skills

* Low code development, coaching, work process automation and analytics using:
* Microsoft Power Platform - Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate
* Data Science & Machine Learning using:
* Python w/ packages Pandas, Jupyterlab, scikit-learn, numpy, etc.
* DevOps development & facilitation using:
* Microsoft Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Storage Accounts, Cosmos DB. GitHub for CI/CD.
* Application development with:
* Python (Django package), Microsoft ASP.NET
* Legacy Application Migration Including ASP, MS Access
* Database technologies including deployment, query & analysis, using:
* MS SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL
* Office 365 Including
* SharePoint Management, Lists, Document Libraries, & Permissions management

Leadership Skills

* Strong communication, listening, & team facilitation skills
* Diagnose and present complex topics in a simple understandable way
* Model proactive and effective problem solving/decision making skills
* Coach/mentor/lead/manage

Reliability Skills

* Reliability and Maintenance engineering principles and applications such as Risk Assessment Methodologies, Pareto analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
* Knowledge in Reliability Assessment Tools (such as Reliability Block Diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Weibull Analysis, Crow-AMSAA, System reliability analysis and availability analysis).

Role Accountabilities

The Reliability & Data Engineer has Responsibility, Accountability and Authority to:

* Implement and sustain the Reliability Management Framework for the site.
* Facilitate the Manage Threats and Opportunities work process to assure the identification, prioritization, and mitigation of reliability threats & events.
* Lead the Reliability Centered Maintenance work process to assure that we are maintaining our assets and reducing our overall risk.
* Automate and analyze refinery reliability performance data and reliability metric data. for Reliability Steering Team, Production Teams and off-site reporting.
* Serve as the Area Focal Point and Facilitator for Production Teams.
* Support the Operator Task Management and IntelaTrac system to improve site reliability performance.
* Drive site to proactive approach on defect elimination and latent threat identification.
* Drives the high reliability organization principles at the site with balance of effort on people, processes, and technology.
* Facilitation of the development of Reliability Improvement Plans.
* Facilitate and maintain the 10-Year Capital, Operating Expense, and Non-Routine Maintenance Plans for Production Teams.
* Facilitate Enhanced Prob Solving Teams using Causal Learning Skills

What we need from you?

* Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
* BS or MS Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Engineering, or similar Degree or Certifications are preferred. Broad exposure to a high availability operating or manufacturing facility and work associated processes is preferred.
* Minimum of three (3) years experience in refining/chemical plant technology support.
* Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong communicating and influencing skills.
* Demonstrated experience or capacity to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
* Life-long dedication to continuous learning.
* Self-motivated and customer service oriented.
