Manufacturing Engineer
Job Summary:
This position requires supporting engineering and production for a specific product or group of products after they transfer from design to manufacturing. Other requisites include interfacing with design, process, and customer engineering to solve problems. The ultimate goal is to sustain products with repair cost reduction and yields improvements.
Job Requirements:
* The successful applicant will be responsible to work with different project teams to review and quote the effort needed to bring opportunities to the Rock Hill location.
* The applicant should demonstrate the ability to work in a challenging fast paced, priority driven environment.
* The applicant should demonstrate a strong ability to work within a team as well as manage his or her responsibilities as an individual contributor.
* Participate in design review and verification/validation of new equipment and process.
* Ability to troubleshooting and maintaining test and production equipment and troubleshoot products failing on the manufacturing line.
* Maintain production and test fixtures to adequately to the customer specifications.
* Assist in the development and duplication of critical fixtures to improve test and production fixture redundancy. Suggests implementation of capital improvement projects as it relates to test and manufacturing process.
* Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
* Meet customers time and cost deadlines as well as the internal schedules.
* Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
* Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
* Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and 8D.
* Travel 10%
Education and Experience:
* Must have Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or related Engineering and have five years of work experience
* 5 years experience Engineering experience in a Manufacturing, Service or similar environment.
* Have knowledge of Quality Control principles and methodology.
* Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing.
* Strong Communication, Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Have good analytical reasoning and problem solving skills.
* Understanding of functional background in DOS, UNIX, Linux and other computer system operating environments helpful.
* Project Management experience helpful.
