Senior Manager of Maintenance and Facilities:

The Senior Manager of Maintenance and Facilities plans short and longer term actions and oversees the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, manufacturing equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building utility systems, CNC machines, manufacturing equipment, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. The position supervises, leads and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

- Oversee buildings/facility, critical systems and plant equipment

- Direct and oversee all major repairs and installation activity

- Allocate workload and supervise staff of approximately 20 employees (facilities, equipment maintenance, janitors, etc.)

- Select, develop, train, and supervise employees in the maintenance department

- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage others, develop and mentor employees and provide effective decision support

- Manage staff, equipment performance and utilize equipment suppliers to achieve 99% uptime and to quickly bring equipment to operational status in the event corrective maintenance is required

- Ensure preventative maintenance plan for facilities and production equipment is thorough and performed on schedule.

- Perform system health checks proactively

- Able to conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures to ensure maximum equipment uptime and the appropriate solutions are implemented to avoid a repeat occurrence.

- Survey equipment to ensure all critical spare part requirements are kept on hand and available through ERP system.

- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers

Maintain maintenance logs through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record daily work orders, root cause and proper closure

- Maintain all inspection, audit, and maintenance records

- Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions

- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

- Provide input to factory investment plan and capital budgeting process

Qualifications

- 15+ years' experience in maintenance management role in an industrial setting

- Hands on leader

- Experience in managing a manufacturing facility with approximately 100K sqft

- Able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities

- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including HVAC, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and mechanical systems in an industrial setting

- Experience in planning maintenance operations

- Excellent leadership and management skills

- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
