Position Overview

Maintains an expert understanding of the group reinsurance business, the role of applied survey research to competitive intelligence and the client value proposition. Provides direction for data analysis and actionable items for team and client objectives. Displays consistency in leading initiatives, project management, and survey design and data analysis. The incumbent may be responsible for leading cross functional initiatives and must possess the ability to become a subject matter expert quickly on survey topics.

Responsibilities

The Senior Survey Analyst will have responsibility for:

* May assume project related supervisory responsibilities. Participates and/or leads department projects.
* Performs and assists with complex data analysis. Coordinates and conducts client surveys as indicated.
* Facilitates and participates in process and system performance / system improvements. Collaborates with team members to resolve complex issues and articulates vision and goals to further support RGA branding and business development. Proactively identifies possible project roadblocks and challenges and leads the development and delivery of solutions.
* Ensures standardized processes are in place across the survey portfolio. Develops operational procedures and executes detailed promotional plans for significant surveys during the year.
* Proactively identifies future projects to enhance RGAs market presence based on client discussions and trends.
* Actively participates and/or leads marketing campaigns, events, and industry meetings to strengthen client and prospect relationships. Conducts high-impact small/large group presentations; leads discussions on complex survey findings and market trends.
* As indicated, author or co-author, journal articles or whitepapers specific to survey/data trends.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Required

* Bachelor's degree with relevant academic focus, or equivalent experience
* 10+ years analytical experience in market or survey research
* 5+ year(s) insurance-related experience

Preferred:

* Masters degree
* Reinsurance industry knowledge
* Experience with group insurance and employer groups.

* Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives.
* Ability to travel up to 5% of time.
