Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

Manage the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of Electric Distribution Underground outside plant facilities. Oversee the installation and maintenance of Street lighting managed by Electric Operations. Model safe behaviors and achieve positive safety results. Monitor construction schedules and budgets. Oversee the development of associates within the department. Manage industrial relations matters pertaining to the Underground Construction group.

Job Responsibilities

* Achieve BPU mandated targets for UG facility inspections. Provide effective leadership to department personnel, facilitating the achievement of Balanced Scorecard Targets.Function as Manager on call and lead storm restoration efforts.

* Develop and direct the implementation of emergency plans to ensure system integrity and initiate the investigation/reporting of system abnormalities as required.
* Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls
* Ability to rotate through various Distribution Manager roles throughout Electric Operations

Job Specific Qualifications

Essential:

BS in Engineering or equivalent, extensive experience (7 -10 years) in Distribution field operations.
Knowledge of distribution outside plant construction
Working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement,
Demonstrated leadership ability, exceptional communication skills.
Must possess and maintain a valid US Driver's license and safe driving record.

Bachelor in Engineering
